A great, balanced write-up from ZDNet of the SLCC convention. I’m sure it would’ve been interesting to attend from a world-development point of view, but it’s really hard to justify given how much of my second life revolves around just being plain social…🙂

I don’t doubt that the next year is going to be a turning point for Second Life, in terms of user experience (WindLight, voice, and improving the viewer software in general thanks in part to the contributions of the open source community), stability (progress on Havoc 4, improvements in the messaging protocol and better capacity for scaling), and especially the deepening of the new (and existing) user experience within Second Life (the AOLification mentioned in the write-up).

I hope I’m still around to see.🙂
